LAGUNA NIGUEL, CALIFORNIA — Ocean Advisor, a company providing science-based location decision support for commercial fishing, today announced that its AI-driven predictive fishing technology is now being used by commercial fleets operating in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. The milestone reflects rapid industry adoption of a system designed to reduce search time, increase catch probability, and enable more selective fishing operations — while lowering fuel consumption, reducing emissions, and minimizing bycatch. Participating vessels have reported increased catch rates and reduced fuel consumption per unit of landed catch.
Ocean Advisor uses a proprietary, science-backed AI prediction approach to generate daily probability maps that indicate where fish are most likely to be found under current conditions. This system is designed to support captains and fleets in making more informed decisions before and during voyages, enabling more efficient routing, fewer exploratory tows, and more targeted fishing activity.
